The California Foundation for Occupational Therapy
(CFOT) was founded in 1981 as a nonprofit, public benefit organization to help support
students, practitioners, and researchers advance their knowledge and skills, thereby
enhancing occupational therapy services to the public.
Since its inception, many scholarships, traineeships, and
grants have been awarded annually. In addition, CFOTs goal is to educate the public
about the potential benefits of occupational therapy services.
