Stephanie Moon
Stephanie Moon, OTD, OTR/L, is the occupational therapy chief for Los Angeles County’s Department of Homeless Services and Housing, where she leads a growing team serving individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Since joining the department as its first occupational therapy practitioner in 2022, she has helped grow occupational therapy from a single practitioner into a department of more than 15 clinicians working across interim housing, permanent supportive housing, and licensed residential care. Through functional assessment, intervention, and systems development, Moon and her team address barriers to safety, independence, housing stability, and meaningful participation — demonstrating the vital role occupational therapy can play in helping people not only become housed but truly make a home and engage in a life of their choosing.
CFOT salutes you and is pleased to present you with our 2025 Humanitarian Award!

The Kaleidoscope of Occupational Therapy: How Your Authenticity Can Fuel the Profession
Our honored lecturer, Dr. Bryant Edwards, will explore the concept of authenticity and its connection to occupational therapy practice, leadership within the profession, and one’s own
personal-professional empowerment. He will also share how authenticity has enhanced his own professional journey, why it should be an important consideration in all occupational therapy
professionals’ practice, and how it can impact the future and fuel the profession forward.
CFOT thanks you for your thoughtful and inspiring lecture!
